Important Notice Regarding a Suspected Data Incident
Directive Communication Systems, Inc. (“DCS”) experienced a data incident that may have involved the personal information of certain individuals. DCS notified all potentially affected individuals for whom it had addresses. DCS could not provide direct notification to a small number of individuals.
What Happened? DCS recently learned that an individual accessed certain portions of our platform without authorization. We immediately launched an investigation. On November 12, 2023, we were notified of an outage of the DCS application. Our investigation determined that on November 5, 2023, the individual potentially gained unauthorized access to certain files and folders that may have contained personal information. Following an extensive review and analysis of the data at issue, we discovered the potentially accessed data contained names, addresses, financial accounts, and social security numbers of certain individuals. While there is no evidence that your or anyone else’s information was actually accessed, taken, or misused as a result of this incident, we wanted to notify you out of an abundance of caution.
To date, DCS is not aware of any reports of identity fraud or improper use of the information as a direct result of this incident, and we have no reason to believe that fraud or improper use will occur.
What to do? If you have any questions or believe you may have been one of the individuals affected, please contact DCS’s dedicated and confidential toll-free response line at 1 (877) 809-3190 or by email at incident@directivecommunications.com. This response line is staffed with professionals who will let you know if you were one of the affected individuals for whom we were not able to locate an address, are familiar with this incident, and who can provide knowledge on what affected individuals can do to protect against potential misuse of their information. The response line is available Monday through Friday, 8am to 8pm Eastern Standard Time.
Sincerely,
Directive Communication Systems, Inc.
