    Lee PoskanzerCEO, Founder

    Lee Poskanzer is the CEO of Directive Communication Systems(DCS) and a veteran of innovation. He has been successfully leading product innovation change at Fortune 500 companies including American Express, Safeway, PolyGram and Staples that ultimately evolve to becoming industry standards and practices. Mr. Poskanzer’s areas of expertise include Legal Tech, Fintech and Consumer Services.
     
    With the recognition of the growing need for solutions for managing digital assets and online accounts, Mr. Poskanzer founded DCS; helping all aspects of digital assets directives management including estate professionals, their clients and website owners with the planning and administration of their digital estate. DCS has become an established and respected authority on the digital afterlife, having representation on several panels - including discussions with the International Bar Association, the International Association of Privacy Professionals, and the American College of Trust and Estates Counsel. DCS has also been featured at the Washington State Trust and Estates Conference. In addition, Mr. Poskanzer has appeared several articles and features for leading press including: CNBC.com, Wealthmanagement.com, CNET, Insurance News, Trust and Estates Magazine. Mr. Poskanzer has also led several CLEs for WealthCounsel, Bryn Mawr Trust Company, Essex Estate Planning Counsel and others.
     
    Mr. Poskanzer continues to inform and advise on the security and management of digital estates and afterlife protection, both as an individual and through the growth of DCS.

    Garry BeirneCTO, Co-Founder

    Garry Beirne is a creative and results driven IT Executive with exceptional record of technology management, organizational leadership, software engineering, IT/IM strategy, ITIL processes development and business process transformations. He is a technology entrepreneur with over thirty years of professional software development, academic and industrial research and technical project management. His over 20 years consulting to VP and C-level executives result in a visionary technical leader with insights into a broad spectrum of industries. He is a senior strategist with proven ability and a hands-on approach in the delivery of sophisticated technology solutions and managing complex initiatives.


    Mr. Beirne earned his Bachelor of Science degree with a focus on Computer Science from The University of Toronto. He is an alumnus of the DGP research group at the University of Toronto, one of the top research facilities in human-computer interaction and user experience. He is a member of the ACM and the IEEE and has served on the conference committees for ACM SIGGraph and SICCHI.

    Akhil MittalVP Product and Operations, Co-Founder

    Akhil Mittal is a results driven leader with experience in product management, go-to-market strategy, business development and partnership management. He has a proven ability to combine strategic thinking with a strong tactical execution to deliver technology products to market. Prior to this role, Mr. Mittal held the Director, Product Marketing role at Moneris Solutions - Canada's #1 payment processor, where he managed a team of product professionals and sales managers for various products including mobile payments, ecommerce, gift cards, loyalty program and retail & restaurant point of sale. Mr. Mittal also gained international experience working for IBM in India and US managing delivery of technology programs and leading cross-functional global teams.


    Mr. Mittal earned his MBA from University of British Columbia in Strategy & Marketing and holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. He is also a Pragmatic Marketing certified Product Manager. Mr. Mittal is a graduate from Second City's Short Form Improv program and has performed on stage on several occasions.

    Kerri PeloquinVP Client Management

    Kerri Peloquin is a marketing professional with over 20 years of experience. She has spent the last 5 years working for a privately held executive search firm providing client management and project support in the nonprofit industry. Ms. Peloquin was the co-founder of 3 Hour Nap, a company that designed and produced high-end handmade children’s blankets and fashionable accessories. Prior to owning her own business, she was the assistant vice president of marketing at a privately held affinity credit card marketing firm where she managed direct mail marketing campaigns for MBNA, Fleet Bank, and Orchard Bank using custom creative strategies and testing grids. Ms. Peloquin was instrumental in developing proprietary software to increase productivity and decrease errors in printed mail pieces. She started her career in the entertainment industry and managed new product launches for a Fortune 500 company in emerging markets. She was responsible for the content and design of marketing materials, along with the design and production of DVD content and packaging for titles including Fargo, Big Lebowski and The Usual Suspects. Ms. Peloquin earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics from the State University of New York at Oneonta.

    Ben DampierDirector of Business Development

    Ben Dampier is a proven executive with extensive experience in business development, sales, and marketing. Prior to joining DCS, Ben spent 9 years in senior sales and management roles with global companies in the medical device and commercial construction industries. Additionally, he and his wife Denice started and managed a wholesale and retail ecommerce apparel business for 3 years. More recently, he developed a product line of natural supplements and ingredients with emphasis in bioavailability for the health and wellness market. Ben earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Communication and Public Relations from Valdosta State University, where he also studied Business.

    Ben and Denice enjoy their active lifestyles and all things outdoors residing in Denver, Colorado.

    David SnellingCOO

    David Snelling joined DCS following a successful exit as COO of TeachPoint, a SaaS business serving the education industry, to a private equity backed venture. His assistance in the negotiation of terms, alignment of plans and management transition followed his involvement across TeachPoint’s operations, product roadmap, customer service, sales and partnership development.

    Starting his career in advertising and marketing, working on media, analytics and targeting, David also has experience in technology consulting with Sapient. After winning a venture competition at Carnegie Mellon and spending time building an early stage startup, he moved into product management at Bose and later iRobot. His time at iRobot included board presentations on internet connected consumer robot strategy and launching their first cloud connected home robot with companion mobile app. Additionally when directing a startup division of a large Chinese manufacturer, he helped win a key contract for an Amazon consumer device. David believes in the spirit of entrepreneurship, hard work and creativity in large and small companies. Mr. Snelling earned an MBA, magna cum laude, as a Babson Fellow at the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College with a focus on product development and entrepreneurship. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, with citation for special achievement in Macroeconomics and certificate of business studies from the University of Rochester.
